UNC Finley Golf Course
In 1999, Tom Fazio was given the opportunity to restore a tired, overused College Golf Course in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.  What came out of that  restoration was a fresh, 4 ½ star rated, showplace that was named the Best New Golf Course in North Carolina for the year 2000.  Being located near the RDU International Airport and just over an hour north of the Sandhills, UNC Finley is a natural to play on the way in or out of the Village of Pinehurst Area.  You don’t have to be a Tarheel fan to appreciate the strong layout that is surrounded by Carolina Pines and large oaks.  Being unencumbered by houses, Out of Bounds and other distractions of more modern designs, UNC Finley will treat you to a tremendous golf experience.  Davis Love III spent many days walking this track while leading the Tarheel Golf Team in the mid 80’s.  The new UNC Finley will be a strong addition to the great tracks that you’ve been acustom to in the Sandhills of North Carolina.
